Israel to Offer Third Covid Vaccine Shot to Those Over 60

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett of Israel said the country would begin offering a third shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine to people over the age of 60, in an effort to slow the spread of the Delta variant.

The battle against Covid is a global effort, and it’s vital that we all share information with each other. Therefore, I’d like to update you that the expert committee at the Ministry of Health of Israel officially approved the recommendation of giving a third booster dose of the Covid vaccine to Israeli citizens above the age of 60. The decision was based on considerable research and analysis, as well as the rise in risk of the Delta variant wave.
