A funny conversation between Wahab Riaz and Shahid Afridi caught on the stump mic has induced laughter on Twitter. The duo was batting in the ongoing Global T20 competition in Canada on Sunday. Zomato, the food supplying mobile aggregator, was ruling the social media yesterday after it refused to accept the demand of one of its customers who wanted to get his rider changed. Representational Image The online user who ordered food has been identified as Pandit Amit Shukla and being a Hindu, he did not want his food to be delivered by a Muslim in the auspicious month of Shravan. When he came to know that the rider who was bringing his food is a Muslim, he called the Zomato customer care and asked them to change the rider. However, Zomato refused to change the rider and Pandit Amit Shukla asked them to cancel his order but Zomato also refused to refund his amount. The customer also refused to take the order and got it cancelled without the refund. Zomato got huge support from all the corners and not just the common public but the celebrities also showered praises on it. An engineer from Mohali ordered an iPhone from online shopping website Snapdeal on March 4, 2017, but instead, he received five detergent cakes. Parveen Kumar Sharma called the company’s helpline and informed their representatives. Two representatives later came and took away the parcel from Sharma for further investigation. They concluded that the courier boy is clean as the parcel was packed when it arrived. Allegedly, Sharma sent two more emails to Snapdeal but no action was taken and the company deleted his account. That’s when went to the consumer court. In its reply, Snapdeal said to the forum that it is just an electronic platform which helps facilitate sales between the independent sellers and independent buyers. The company said that as the confirmation received from the seller and logistic service provider, the iPhone was delivered intact to the complainant at the given address.
