War & Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy First Day Collections Out. War Creates History & Figures Are Superb | RVCJS

There is no denying that yesterday (October 2) was a very big day for the Indian box-office as three big movies hit the screen. Despite the fact that it was middle of the week, the makers of all three movies – “War”, “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” and “Joker” decided to release their flicks in order to get the benefit of the holiday.

It is believed that whenever two or more big films clash at the box-office, either of them earns great while the other one suffer losses but this time, all the three movies have performed in a good manner. However, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer “War” is a clear winner among the three as it stormed the box-office literally.

“War” has certainly impressed the audiences to the maximum as it has become the biggest box-office opener till date. It has earned Rs 51.60 crore from the Hindi market while an amount of Rs 1.75 crore has been minted from the Tamil and Telugu circles. Thus, the total opening day collections of “War” is Rs 53.35 crore.

Here’s what trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted,

It is the highest opening for Hrithik and Tiger’s career and it also marks the highest opening for any Hindi movie along with the highest opening on any national holiday. What makes it more remarkable is the fact that it surpasses Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s “Thugs of Hindostan” (Rs 52 crore) despite having lower screen counts.

Taran Adarsh wrote,

“#War creates H-I-S-T-O-R-Y… Sets new benchmarks for #Hindi films… Big holiday [#GandhiJayanti] + unprecedented hype results in mind boggling *Day 1* total… Crosses the previous best – #ThugsOfHindostan – by a margin, despite lower screen count.”

“War” was declared a blockbuster even before its release by the trade experts and now the collections proved that audiences loved the movie. It is a story of two Indian soldiers, one of which has turned rogue and the other tries to catch and stop him. Hrithik and Tiger are getting praised for their performances and the action sequences of the flick are making people feel that they are watching a Hollywood film. We are sure that the records will be broken in a big manner this time.

On the other hand, “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” has also performed good on the box-office as its Hindi version has collected Rs 2.60 crore and the figures down South are said to be exceptional.

This movie stars the south superstar Chiranjeevi in the lead role along with Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah and Nayanthara in important roles. Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has also played an important role of Narasimha Reddy’s guru in the flick. It is based on the true story of the ruler of an Indian state who revolted against the East India Company in 1847, ten years before the first revolt of independence.

Joker might not be making such impressive collections but it has been appreciated by the viewers and critics alike and hopefully it will also do well on the box-office.
