Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth gives up police protection for needy after getting death threats
Actor Siddharth, who is known for his powerful performance in Rang De Basanti, had alleged that the IT cell in-charge of the Tamil Nadu BJP leaked his phone number on social media without his consent. Post the leak, Siddharth said that he received over 500 calls of abuse, rape and death threats to him and his family members. He said that all the numbers were linked to the BJP. After his tweet, Siddharth revealed that the Tamil Nadu Police has offered him protection. However, he would like to give it up for needy during the Covid-19 pandemic.
