Mumbai Police Uses 3 Idiot’s Viru Sahastrabudhhe Meme To Spread Awareness About Vaccination | RVCJS

The social media presence has almost become a necessity, not just for the individuals but also for companies, institutions and government departments as well because social media platforms are the easiest way to reach a large mass of audience in a short span of time.

In the times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of social media networks has increased further because many departments are using them for increasing awareness and also for letting the public know about the necessity of following COVID-19 protocols and the restrictions that have been imposed in order to stop the spread of the virus.

Mumbai Police is also pretty active on the social media platforms and it keeps on posting memes which are funny in nature but convey very serious and genuine statement to its followers. Recently, Mumbai Police posted a meme featuring a character, Viru Sahastrabudhhe from the movie “3 Idiots” which starred Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani in important roles. The role of Viru Sahastrabudhhe was played by Boman Irani and he was shown as an ambidextrous (the person who can write with both hands) in the film.

Mumbai Police emphasized on the need of getting vaccinated by posting the meme with the caption, “Virus took years of training to write with 2 hands. You need only few months to get fully vaccinated.”

This is how netizens reacted to the meme:

There is no denying the fact that COVID-19 vaccination is of utmost importance in order to defeat the lethal virus and the best part about this vaccination drive is that the government of India is administering vaccination to the Indian citizens completely free of cost. The importance of vaccination increases further in the present times because cases of COVID-19 are rising once again and the new variant Omicron is making things worse for everyone.

Recently, the government also announced vaccination for those who are above 15 years and booster dose for citizens above 60 yrs of age.

If we don’t want the things to get worse, we should follow safety protocols such as avoid crowded areas, wear mask, maintain social distancing, use sanitizer, wash hands regularly and get vaccinated.
