Bollywood is one of the biggest movies industries of the world and there is no denying the fact that music plays an important role in its success. While we have seen many music composers coming up with beautiful tunes and song writers adding soul to the tunes by giving it words, it is a singer who makes it touch our heart by giving emotions to it.

Bollywood has given us many melodious singers and all of them are great in their own sense but if we have to name the most beautiful voice of Bollywood, it has to be of Lata Mangeshkar who is also known as the Nightingale of India. The 91 years old singer has worked for nearly seven decades and has sung 25k songs in various languages. She has been honoured with a number of awards and recognitions including the top most civilian award of India – Bharat Ratna (2001). The government of France has also awarded her with their highest civilian award – the Officer of the Legion of Honour (2007).

It’s pretty difficult to believe that there can be someone who feels that Lata Mangeshkar is overrated but it is true. A Twitter user whose handle is @ikaveri went on a rant against Lata Mangeshkar and not only called her overrated but also said that the Indians have been brainwashed to believe that Lata Mangeshkar has a good voice. She went on to call the legendary singer over-used and damaged and it certainly made many people including the famous singer Adnan Sami angry.
