NBA pays tribute to Chadwick Boseman, Clifford Robinson, Lute Olson

After a three-day hiatus, the NBA returned on Saturday to a world grappling with much more loss.

On Thursday, faculty basketball and Arizona teaching icon Lute Olson died at 85 years previous. On Friday, acclaimed actor Chadwick Boseman died at 43 years previous, a surprising loss to the movie world and past.

Hours earlier than Saturday’s tip between the Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks, information broke that UConn nice and widespread 18-year NBA veteran Clifford Robinson died at 53 years previous.

Lute Olson coached Arizona to 5 Closing Fours and the 1997 nationwide championship. He was a mentor and a task mannequin to lots of his former gamers who went on to make their mark on the NBA, together with Steve Kerr, Sean Elliott and Richard Jefferson.

The NBA took its hiatus after Bucks gamers initiated a participant strike to boost consciousness of police brutality within the aftermath of the police capturing of Jacob Blake.
