These Are The 6 Biggest Flops Of The Year, Some Of Them Were Completely Unexpected | RVCJS
This year, we’ve seen some hits and misses from Bollywood. While we have some good, meaningful cinema like Andhadhun, we also have shocking disasters like Thugs of Hindostan.
Below is a list of the biggest flops in Bollywood this year:
1. Thugs Of Hindostan
The Aamir Khan starrer was built on a massive budget of 300 crores, but the film managed to reel in only about 151 crores at the box office.
2. Namaste England
The Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra film which created a lot of hype, earned only 8 crores at the box office, although it required a budget of roughly 65 crores.
3. Welcome To New York
The film was disappointing to say the least. The ensemble cast failed to impress and earned only 2.38 crores at the box office, which is negligible given the fact that the budget was 35 crores.
4. Aiyaary
We had really high hopes from the film, yet, it failed to make a mark. The film was made on a budget of around 60 crores, but earned only 18 crores.
5. Blackmail
The film, a dark comedy, performed miserably at the box office and earned only 11 crores in the first weekend.
6. Bhavesh Joshi
This particular film was hailed as the first of its kind in Indian cinema, but it failed to impress. The film earned only 1.46 crores at the box office.
